Have your say on subsidised South Fife bus services

Purpose of consultation

Bus users of South Fife are being asked to have their say on the future of subsidised bus services in their area. Fife Council Assets, Transportation & Environmental Services are looking for feedback on what services are most important to residents of South Fife. A consultation will take place from Monday 21st May until Friday 30th June.


The Council is interested in finding out the places/ facilities residents go to by bus and what times they need or prefer to travel.  All comments received will be considered when contracts for subsidised bus routes are renewed in August 2019.


The bus services that are currentlysubsidised or partly subsidised in South Fife are: 3/3A, 4B, 4C, 5, 5A, F6, 7D, 8, 8B, 17A, 17B, 20A, 28, 33B, 71, 81, 83, 87, 88, 89/89A.   


On-bus surveys will be carried out with passengers on these routes during May and June and passenger movements are being analysed using ticket machine data.
