Purpose of consultation
You can play a part in helping Fife Council’s work on developing the Gaelic language.
The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 was passed by the Scottish Parliament and seeks to secure the status of Gaelic as an official language of Scotland commanding equal respect to the English language. Fife Council second Gaelic Language Plan 2019-24, sets out how we will take forward our work to support and promote the use of Gaelic throughout the Region in conjunction with Bòrd na Gàidhlig/The Gaelic Board (opens in new window)
We would welcome your feedback on our draft plan before our formal submission to Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
