Purpose of consultation
This draft sets out the results of an appraisal of the special architectural and historic interest of the conservation area. The management plan section sets out relevant policy and good practice which exists and recommendations to protect and enhance the special architectural and historic interest identified. The purpose of the consultation is to give anyone with an interest the opportunity to comment on the draft before a final version is put to the Area Committee for approval.
Residents are invited to a drop-in event on 18th July to find out more about the Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for their village.
Fife Council Enterprise, Planning & Protective Services has prepared a Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for the conservation area. The document is a management tools to help to identify the special historic and architectural interest of an area and provide the basis for identifying any future actions and measures to protect and enhance the conservation area.
A copy of the draft Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for Strathmiglo is now available in Hoggs, High Street, Strathmiglo,with Fife Council staff available at the Strath Tavern to answer any queries relating to the appraisal on Thursday 18th July from 4 to 6pm. A copy of the draft appraisal is also available to download from the Fife Direct website at the “Conservation Areas in Fife” service page. Any comments are requested please by 29th July 2019.
