Purpose of consultation

Fife Council are preparing a new draft Resources (waste) strategy looking at waste as a resource rather than something to throw away. The less waste, the less carbon emissions emitted and the more money saved that could be better used for jobs, services and investing in communities.

This strategy is presently being grouped under 6 themes:

  1. Minimising environmental impact (Climate Change)
  2. Waste prevention
  3. Engagement & Communication
  4. Service & infrastructure improvement
  5. Realising Economic benefit and Circular economy
  6. Management of non-recyclable (residual) waste

We are looking for your comments and ideas on the 6 themes to ensure we find the best solutions to reduce our waste and repair, recycle and reuse items.
