The Library Resource Centre seeks to provide staff and pupils with book and non-book resources  to support learning and teaching across the curriculum. There is access to computer/internet facilities for all pupils and staff.

An S1 Information Skills course run in conjunction with the English Department encourages pupils to become confident , informed and independent learners. As part of this course,  pupils are made aware of copyright issues and the importance of referencing school work.

Pupils are motivated to read for pleasure through the provision of a wide ranging book stock . Author visits and participation in on-line virtual events also inspire pupils to read for pleasure.

Access to the Inter-Library loans network means books or journal articles  can be obtained from other libraries so even if material is not available in the school library , it can be borrowed from another library in the UK. This system is particularly useful to S6 pupils engaged in research for Advanced Highers.
