Following yesterday's release of SQA Course Awards I am writing to re-assure you that as both a school and an Authority we are continuing to work actively with the SQA to ensure that our young people are not disadvantaged.
We have already been communicating with many parents/carers and senior pupils regarding the Marking Review (Appeals) process and our Principal Teachers/Heads of Departments are identifying within their subjects those young people who are eligible for appeals due to discrepancies between the submitted estimates and the awarded grade. Please can I ask that should there be any queries pupils/parents should discuss these with the Heads of Department when they return to school next week.
I would like to thank all those who have already contacted us for your understanding and support at what might be a difficult time for some and to re-assure you that we are continuing to do our utmost to ensure that our children achieve the appropriate grades.
