Buying Additional Leave

Fife Council has a buying leave scheme to allow employees to buy additional annual leave. The scheme complements existing work-life balance policies and enable employees and the Council to make cost savings. Under the scheme employees can apply to buy up to 72 hours additional annual leave per leave year. This will be implemented pro rata for part-time employees.

For leave year 2020, the opportunity to purchase was between 20thJanuary and 31st January 2020.   The scheme is now closed.

If you're interested in buying additional leave, you should speak to your manager about your purchase in advance. Read the documents below for further information.

There has been a change to the pension regulations.  Previously employees were required to complete a pension form if they wanted to repay their contributions.  Now, pension will be deducted from pay before the buy annual leave deduction is taken, so pension repayment is no longer required.
