(Health and Safety) Induction
Fife Council is committed to ensuring that every person we employ is provided with sufficient health and safety information and training to enable them to do their work safely. Accordingly, all new employees are to be provided with a formal health and safety induction in addition to the HR induction.
This health and safety induction process must be refreshed when employees transfer from other Services or returning after a lengthy period of absence (e.g. career break, maternity leave, and long term ill-health).
For new starts, the Corporate Health and Safety Induction Checklist (OHS-C-33.F1) is to be used in conjunction with Human Resources Induction checklist (IN51).
The Health and Safety induction Checklist can be adapted to suit Service activities and requirements, however it must include as a minimum those items already listed on it.
