Fife Council is fully committed to achieving the highest standards of occupational health, safety and welfare compliance. Our vision is to carry out all our activities in such a way as to keep each other, those who work with us, and the public safe from harm. That vision needs your involvement and commitment as a Fife Council employee, along with positive leadership from elected members and managers. We also need the support of trade unions, employee representatives and our contractors, suppliers and partners.
Our commitment to this vision, and what is required of you, is further explained in our Health and Safety Policy Statement (see below).
Additional policy, procedures, guidance and standards are published here by the Council’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team to support the delivery of the Council’s Policy vision,
All documents are formal extensions of the Council’s Health and Safety Policy Statement and integral to the Council’s arrangements for health and safety management and legal compliance.
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team provide the regulatory source of competent health and safety advice for Fife Council.
A limited number of our Health and Safety Subject Information pages (construction/CDM, asbestos management, managing contractors and work at height guidance) are available via fifedirect to allow ready access by prospective contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
